In the Name of Christ

T herefore God has also highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Christ every knee should bow, of those in Heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

Every word and action of ours should be done in the name of Christ. For it is of Him that we receive any good that may be in us. It is Him in us working out His will in our lives that places in us any good that there may be. Bringing us to perfection in Himself that we may be made fit for His Kingdom.

While we are on earth, the will of the Father is that we be lights in this dark world. We are not light in ourselves as the light bulb is not light in itself but when it is connected to the source of light than it shines bright. And the same is for us, when we are connected to Christ, it is than that He shines out in our lives making us lights for Him.

"...that you may be blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world." Phil. 2:15.

It is through Him that we reach perfection "for not of ourselves, lest any man should boast"[Eph. 2:9] But of the Father. We cannot reach that goal on our own, it is Christ in us the hope of glory that makes us lights unto Him. He gives us the strength for each new battle, and I praise Him for His faithfulness that He has shown to all generations and will continue to show.

Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those that are His", and "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity." 2 Tim. 2:19

Remembering...

Y esterday was 9/11. I wanted to write something in rememberance of the day. Yesterday, we sat at the dinner table remincing what we were doing at the time, our memories of the day etc...

I think how I sat with my siblings by the radio in the living room listening in horror to the screams and crys and sirens and noisy talking that our ears were hearing from the speakers. ...wondering what would make people create such pain...

I don't believe that as long as God gives me grace to remember that I will forget it.

I don't understand how a person would want to hurt his fellow human being. But there are two very strong forces in this world. One is hate - and we see that in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. Cruelty along with the hate, wanting to see people suffer. Wanting pain on others...

And the other is - LOVE - love gives and gives and gives not caring if it receives in return. Love comes from God and God IS love. Love binds up the wounds, and heals the brokenhearted, love reduces the pain and suffering, love makes the world a better place.

The devil hates and hates and and wants so much to get as many souls as he possibly can in his control. He wants to see us suffer.

God loves us and weeps along with man in our suffering. He longs to see as many as will accept Him, receive of the joy of the Kingdom of Heaven. He heals and forgives...

But God will not wait forever, there will come a day when the end will come and He will say, "It is enough" Our time will be no more and the sin and the evil will be recompensed according to their own works. For what you do to others shall also be done to you.

The pain and suffering will be over...

Why spurn love for hatred? In the end LOVE always wins.
