"You Mean She Has Children!?"

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." - Norman MacEwan

"God sends children to enlarge our hearts, and to make us unselfish and full of kindly sympathies and affections." -Mary Howitt

Y
ou never thought that the day would come when your little girl would say to you, "Mom! That lady had children!" In a very awed and excited tone. Wow, I mean, wow. That is crazy. It is shocking. But honestly, it is true that if you are out walking somewhere with a dog or two, people will stop and ask about your dog and croon over it, but if you have a baby you are most likely to be ignored, or maybe a few ladies here and there might stop and ask about your baby and coo to him/her, but not near as many as would if it was your dog.

People have placed children below animals. Animals were not created in the image of God. Animals do not have souls. People are created in the image of God, and we do have souls.

Now, I do love animals. I hate to see one being mistreated. I'll be the first to say I love farm life and working with animals. But I love children more. I love people more. People have souls. People need the Lord.

Children are precious. They are the next generation. They are the future. What we raise, what we give, what we do, is what will be.

If we give of ourselves, devoting ourselves to raising the next generation. To raising up for the Lord the precious souls He has entrusted into our care, giving and giving, and giving again, that they may see and know Christ. That they may daily walk with Him through life.

It is most important also to be kind to animals and to be good stewards over them. But animals are not people, and people are not animals though at times I wonder at how some act... but that is an insult to animals, even animals act better than some people.

People no longer consider children a blessing but instead a hindrance, a mistake, something to be gotten rid of as quickly as possible. After all they are such a pain. Such a nuisance. you can't do anything you want when they're around. What's the point?

Aha, what's the point? The point is that you were a child once, and you wouldn't be here if your parents had the attitude that you do! And imagine how you would feel, if you were told that you weren't really wanted, that you had been a mistake and that they had tried to abort you but you were too stubborn to die.

People are so self-centered it drives me crazy. But what is even crazier is that it is perfectly fine to kill a baby any time up 'til it is born. But as soon as it makes it's appearance into the world, it is suddenly a human and you better watch out now because many are willing to snatch it from you. Quite ridiculous I would say.

A child is a child from the moment of conception. A new human being formed by the hand of God in the secret part.
Children are a blessing. More people need to see it.

Friend, your child is worth more that your dog.

EDIT: This article just goes to show all the more that children are no longer wanted...

Life

Are you running the race?
Are you keeping in pace?
With your eyes to the goal?
Don't let the devil it from you stole!
Keep looking ahead!
The straight path tread!
Don't let the crowd entice you to follow,
To their sad end there to wallow.
If you fall, don't worry, get up and stand tall.
Keep going, don't fall to the side.
If the devil has to you lied,
That up again you cannot get,
For with trials you are beset,
Don't heed his wiles!
But hasten on to see the good Lord's smiles!
This race must be run,
We must not stop 'til the lord says, "Well done!"
Keep to the straight path,
And so escape the coming wrath!
Many may say, "How stupid to throw your life away!"
Don't listen to what they say!
It is them that have lost their way.
Oh, pity their sad plight.
Hurry on! Hurry on! Keep your eyes to the light!
The way is not long, so run it in song.
Be faithful! Be faithful! Oh, heed not the devil's words hateful!
If you stumble and fall, lay ye not down!
But get up and keep on 'til you gain the crown!
Until you halt, you've not lost.
But if you do, the prize you have tossed!
One glad day we'll reach the line,
And then there we'll dine!
For the race has be run and the victory won,
And the day is now done.

I'm a Pilgrim

I’m a pilgrim, and I’m a stranger,
I can tarry, I can tarry but a night;
Do not detain me, for I am going
To where the fountains are ever flowing.

Refrain:
I’m a pilgrim, and I’m a stranger;
I can tarry, I can tarry but a night.

There the glory is ever shining;
Oh, my longing heart, my longing heart is there;
Here in this country so dark and dreary,
I long have wandered forlorn and weary.

There’s the city to which I journey;
My Redeemer, my Redeemer is its Light;
There is no sorrow nor any sighing,
Nor any tears there, nor any dying.

Farewell, neighbors, with tears I’ve warned you,
I must leave you, I must leave you and be gone!
With this your portion, your heart’s desire,
Why will you perish in raging fire?

Father, mother, and sister, brother!
If you will not journey with me, I must go!
Now since your vain hopes you will thus cherish,
Should I, too, linger, and with you perish?

Farewell, drear earth, by sin so blighted,
In immortal beauty soon you’ll be arrayed;
He who has formed thee will soon restore thee,
And then the dread curse shall nevermore be.
