If I Could Have One Wish

If I could have one wish, I know just what I'd like to find

If I could have one dream come true before my eyes
More than a pot of gold, more than a pathway to the stars
More than anything I know, I want Jesus in your heart.

If I could paint a picture in my mind of what I'd like to see

If I could take you once instead my deepest dreams
More than treasure's glow

More than a comet traveling far

More than anything I know, I want Jesus in your heart.

He's more than all the world can give
When He truly comes to live in your heart.

Why do you try to search for more,

When He's what you're looking for in your heart?

If I could have one wish, I know just what I'd like to find
If I could have one dream come true before my eyes

More than a pot of gold, more than a pathway to the stars

More than anything I know, I want Jesus, I pray you'll find Jesus,

I want Jesus in your heart.

That I May Know Him

That I may know Him, that I may go in. Paul preached to paupers, he stood before kings. Yet his only heartbeat was Christ and His cross. Through life's stormy seas. That I may know Him, that I may go in. "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death." Phil. 3:10
That my only heartbeat would be Christ and His cross.

Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood;
Sealed my pardon with His blood.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Guilty, vile, and helpless we;
Spotless Lamb of God was He;
“Full atonement!” can it be?
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Lifted up was He to die;
“It is finished!” was His cry;
Now in Heav’n exalted high.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

When He comes, our glorious King,
All His ransomed home to bring,
Then anew His song we’ll sing:
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Psalm 91

This has been one of my favourite Psalms for many years. Has been my comfort and stay, one that I've clung to in the tough times. God is so good. I thank Him, for sending His Son to earth as a little new born babe to live and die to bring us salvation. I am not worthy.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him:
I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him, and honour him.

With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
